CFC

Community -Facility Collaborative for improved HIV diagnosis, Linkage and Treatment for children is a project that Cheer Up is implementing in Kiambu County. In partnership with the ViiV Healthcare UK, the program through the Positive Action initiative has been able to support children living with HIV by offering the following:

We support facility and community-led activities under 3 objectives:

  1. Improved diagnosis and linkage
    • Sensitization meetings
    • Testing services
    • Linkage for those tested positive
  2. Improved access to mental health services for caregivers
    • Sensitization meetings
    • Referrals
    • Counselling services
  3. Improved treatment and suppression outcomes
    • Home visits and follow-ups
    • Pillbox and wristwatches
    • Nutritional support
    • MDT (Multi-Disciplinary Team)
    • Case conferencing
    • OTZ (Operation Triple Zero)
    • Psychosocial support groups
    • Positive parenting
    • Sensitization of school teachers
    • Support link-desk persons
    • Transport support for clinic appointments
