CHEER UP PROGRAM (CUP) is a child-focused charitable and a faith-based organization (FBO) that operates in Kiambu County. Cheer UP was registered in 2004 and has over 18 years of experience inspired by the Christian faith.
Over this period, it has worked closely with multiple stakeholders and partners at the county and sub-county levels.
Its target population is the most vulnerable children and their families to improve their quality of life. It works to transform their lives, empower communities, provide leadership, and promote collaboration with governments and other stakeholders in response to poverty, HIV, and other tangential public concerns.
CUP's primary actions aim at improving the quality of life in society by transforming lives, empowering communities, and providing leadership.
It also promotes collaboration with the Government of Kenya (GOK) and other stakeholders in responding to poverty, Human Immuno-Deficiency Virus (HIV), and other public concerns.
This is achieved through awareness creation to promote the prevention of new HIV infections among the most vulnerable people in the community and the general public as well as restoring Hope, Care, and Support to people living with HIV and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) (PLHIV), Orphaned and Vulnerable Children (OVCs) and those groups that are most exposed and vulnerable to infection like commercial sex workers.
Our activities are deliberately designed to foster behavior change toward good health, beneficiaries’ holistic development, and to minimize HIV/AIDS exposure and risks.
