Genesis Of CUP

Genesis of CUP

CUP originated as a feeding program for orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) under Christian Church International (CCI), Happy Friends, Matathia, Kiambu County, Kenya, in July 2003. It was registered as a Self-Help Group with the Ministry of Gender and Children Affairs in April 2004 (Registration No. DSS/KBU WEST/16220). In January 2013, it was upgraded to a Community-Based Organization (CBO). Currently, CUP is registered in Kenya under section 10 of the Non-Governmental Organizations Coordination Act (Certificate No. NGO-POFV9W, dated 30 May 2024).
